I'm a political & data scientist who applies technical skills (statistics, machine learning, XAI, LLM) to the most pressing social issues. I focus on development, anti-corruption, justice, and most recently, the governmental adoption of artificial intelligence.

01. About Me

Hey — I’m Miguel. I transform messy data into decisions that truly make a difference. For over 8 years, I’ve designed and conducted impact evaluations, social research, and analytics for national and international organisations, primarily focusing on development, anti-corruption, and justice. In addition, I'm currently exploring the challenges and implications of governments' adoption of AI.

I feel most comfortable when measurement and action come together: leading MERL processes, blending quantitative and qualitative methods, and translating models into plain language for policymakers. From building evaluation systems to shipping tailored dashboards and reports, my compass is simple—measure what matters, then make it usable.

Recently, I co-launched Ignova Tech — a small startup focused on applied AI and data products for organisational needs. It’s where I experiment, prototype fast, and turn proven ideas into tools that real teams can adopt.
